I’m a 20-something Detroit photographer addicted to coffee, Friends and long walks in the park. Making art brings me to life like nothing else, and every day I thank God that I am able to do that for a living!
In October of 2023, I married my best friend (I got allll the wedding tips for you!) and love nothing more than spending time with our furry rescue pup Lola and our vocal kitty Cornell.
I definitely have a laid-back personality, but when I’m in my element getting creative I get super giddy! I absolutely LOVE what I do! As a Detroit wedding photographer, I get to meet amazing people and help them have the BEST day of their lives while creating images they will cherish forever.

Shantel is a full-time photographer based in Oakland County. She specializes in capturing genuine emotions at wedding and event. With her bubbly personality and determined spirit, she will keep you calm and smiling during your big day! Shantel loves creating moments that’ll last a lifetime.
Shantel Sheeka
Simone is an adventurer who has lived all over the world. She says “yes!” to as many things as possible, and loves to try new things. She specializes in elopements, destination weddings, Indian weddings, and microweddings, and loves a good ole traditional wedding! With the energy of a small child and knees of a 65 year old woman, she’s ready to rock the day right beside you. She’s been shooting weddings since 2021, and her favorite part of a wedding day is the reception. She takes pride in her detail photos, candids, and creative approach to weddings. She believes that people photograph best when they feel safe and comfortable, so she ensures everyone around her feels their best so they can look their best!
Derek has been practicing photography for several years and has been published by multiple platforms. He specializes in events and candid photography, including weddings. While he serves in supply-chain management full-time, he loves capturing your special moments on the weekends! Derek is also a U.S. Veteran, and we are so thankful for his service to our country as well as our team!

Savanna's husband, Alec has joined the Savvy Shoots team to help document wedding days. They have been married for two years and have so much fun documenting wedding days together! Alec is a full-time engineer during the week but has a background in art and design.

Diana & Jason have been married for 6 years and have two silly kids together. They love an adventure, especially camping! Diana began her photography career more than 5 years ago and has been recently joined by Jason, who still holds a full-time OR nursing position. While Diana captures the major moments, Jason is usually capturing different angles and candid shots. Their goal is to make your wedding day fun and memorable while capturing the moments that matter to you most!

I've been fascinated by photography since I was a kid, but it wasn't until after college when I found a passion for creating art and capturing life's precious moments. My mother surprised me with my first DSLR in 2017, before I ever knew how much I loved photography. Next thing I knew, I was running a business! I guess she knew something I didn't.
My mother unexpectedly passed away just two days after she gave me this gift. I then realized how important taking photos really is, and it became my passion to help people capture every moment because every minute with your loved ones is precious.
Fast forward to 2021 and I decided to offer photos professionally. I’ve trained under some of the largest wedding photography companies in Michigan to learn the ins and outs of serving engaged couples.
All of my clients give me purpose and always bring so much joy to my life!
